Normally I probably wouldn't have noticed this and would just pass it up as another body variation release of the TT01 chassis. But having seen an entry on Hatsune Miku by fellow blogger Open the Toy recently, the character's name caught my eyes. Did a quick google search for the Hatsune Miku livery and came up with this:

I think it looks pretty nice! Pretty sure the body will come prepainted or it would be a PITA to paint and decal. Also I think this is the first time we've seen an anime livery on Tamiya RC cars, which is pretty cool indeed! I am actually pretty interested in acquiring a prepainted body of this for my onroad chassis.

  1. Go get one Jcee! I would very much want to see the end product! :D

  2. I hope Tamiya does something cool with the box in terms of artwork.

  3. This blindsides my budget :D
Hope it gives the SGT Aero Gimmick through unlikely happened...

The above was 2008 season livary.
    The 2009 looked like this:
(Made by somebody in Japan already long time ago)

(And keep in mind, the door's image keep changes in this season, even including a color change...)

  4. Thanks Shinka for the correction! I have fixed the post now. I am really liking this '09 livery!

  5. And finally the product photo is out:
    to be released on 31/10.

Too shame no SGT hood and air intake... (But the spoiler and mirror are SGT one)
