Today's Haul...

Part of my order came in this week, the rest should be in the following week(s). However, I probably won't have time to review them anytime soon, still have a few papers to do this weekend, then midterms for the next two weeks...sign...

My Uncle's 1:6 Collection

A while ago, I posted a picture of the 1:6 figure that I got from my uncle several years ago. The figure reminded me of his collection of 1:6 figures. I've never actually seen it in person since I haven't been back to Hong Kong for a long while. I actually have never even chat with him about his collection since I wasn't interested back then. Now that I look back at these pics, I really want to check out his collection! Haha! I will probably go back in a year or two after graduating. It would be nice to go toy shopping. Ahhh...just thinking about it makes me excited!

So I dug up some pics of his collection. Too bad there is no full view of his whole collection, I really wonder how many he has. For sure, his collection must have grown a lot since these pics (these were from 4-5~ years ago if I remember correctly). I will probably give him a call to see if he can send me some more pics and also to tell him to visit my blog haha.

The pictures are scans, click to enlarge.
Ahh...I just love HK police uniforms!

Few pics of Activators Megatron + Grimlock...

There really isn't much to do in terms of a review, they are pretty straight forward. I had problems with transforming the Megatron to his heli mode. I found out that it was a common problem to this figure, so I am just going to stick with it. Articulation on the Grimlock is amazing for a figure of this size. His tail definitely helps in his poses as a third leg. Megatron's articulation is okay, not as good as Grimlock. The piece on his back is heavy and big, so his poses are limited.

I just felt like snapping a few pics of toys tonight since I haven't done so for a while. Maybe I will snap more later to show off their articulation.

I am not as good as Leon at captioning his pics, so I will just leave that task to the minds of my fellow readers.

NEW Hasbro ROTF toys pictures

Check out the new series of movie toys from Hasbro! To be honest, I am pretty disappointed. The toys do not look that cool, maybe I will change my mind after watching the movie. My favourite from the set of pics was the bb below. The bot mode looks amazing and so does the vehicle mode (with interior and Sam!)

What do you think about the upcoming movie toys?

Game trailer: Ghostbusters!

Looks like a cool game, I wonder how the gameplay is going to be like? It sort of reminds me of GTA, but in a Ghostbusters theme. Anyways, can't wait to see more updates on it!

Saw this on a forum and tried it, and it guessed right!

Saturday's haul...

TFA Activators Megatron and Grimlock...more pics in the coming weekend...

[Update] I open both of these toys, Grimlock is great, but Megatron seems to have some wonky springs preventing it from holding its position in vehicle mode. Gotta go refund or exchange it.

Today's haul...

Found these on clearance...only $2 each! They are from the BAF (Build-A-Figure) Annihilus series. There was the whole set, but I only liked these ones from the set. There's two versions of Iron man for some reason, one has his helmet on and the other has his helmet off. Not sure if the one with the helmet can take off or not. The hulk is huge, pretty heavy for this type of figure. This is probably the best deal I have found so far!

TFA: The Twins have landed!

Saw this set today at Toysrus for $34.99. However, I am not interested in this set. But it's just nice to finally have some new TF's after a long time, the last wave we got from TFA was the one with Sentinel Prime and Swoop. Hopefully this means Blurr and Samurai Prowl is coming soon.

Sorry for the bad cellphone pic...

GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra TRAILER

The movie looks pretty cool. I wasn't a GI Joe kid, so I don't know how close they got it to the actual show. Do the ninja looking guys really jump like that?

One of my RC treasures...

A RC10T by Team Associated released in 1993. This is the Team version of the original RC10T released in 1991. Major changes include optional hard anodized shocks, bearings, and universal swingshafts. The T in its name stands for truck since it is based on the RC10 buggy that was released in 1984.

There are a lot of them on Ebay all the time, but they are usually beat up since these were meant to be raced. Not to mention the white parts tend to get the old yellowing effect throughout the years. So finding one in mint condition is rare, and even then it won't be cheap.

I just love vintage RC's, I love checking out the engineering of them and reflect on how they evolved into the racing machines we have now. But to me, the vintages just have more "character" than the current trucks. Right now I can't even tell which one is which since they all look the same to me.
