I've been eye-ing this heli for a while, finally got it at TRU today since they have a sale on these vehicles. The scale is not perfect, I think the tail is too short, but I won't complain for $20. There are other makers such a BBi which makes a better-to-scale version of this heli, but at a much higher price. Now my Joes will have something to ride in. I will open it along with the Joes when I have time.
I also want to give it a paintjob so it doesn't look as plastic-ky. Anyone have suggestions on a paint scheme?
It worth it if you have the space and lot of 3.75" troopers. For me the black hawk already look good to me and I can't wait to see your repainted version.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a lot of 3.75" troopers though lol, just 2 SE and 2 SS, a few Marvel Universe figs, and several Star Wars one. Oh well, they are going to be going together lol.
ReplyDeleteDon't know when I will actually have time to repaint it. The work is starting to come piling in now, so I'd probably have to wait until Xmas. I still have Skids and Ravage to finish up too! But I did get some work done on Ravage before school started. Will show that some day.
Reminds me of the movie "Black Hawk Down". The chopper is cool! Can it fit G.I.Joe figurines?
ReplyDeleteI've read that it depends on the figures; some do and some don't. The rear seats were said to be too tall for joes, so I might need to do some modification. I'll save this for a Xmas project.
