I guess it might have something to do with that my friend also shoots Nikon and I also have a lens from my dad when he shot film on a Nikon too. But one of the main attraction was the amazing iso performance on this camera, it looks really nice even at high iso's. I actually had a chance to handle some higher end Canons last night and they were really fun to use too! I recommend going to cameralabs.com to check out the reviews on the cameras you are interested in and check out the forums too! But most importantly, go to the store and have the cameras in your hands and take several shots to see how you like the handling of the camera. Once you've decided, get it and start shooting! It's really a totally different experience than shooting with a P&S, the focusing is much faster and the image quality is just awesome!
Wow! Droooool. I so need to upgrade. What made you go with Nikon, I have little to no idea where to start. ANy suggestions on places to study up?
