Repaint: ROTF Soundwave (Part 4 - Assembled)

Well I finally assembled Soundwave. Some accidents did happen during assembly, so I will have to do one more final touch-up before I call it done. To be honest, I am not too happy with it. But since it is my first transformers repaint, I'll cut myself some slack. Will improve on the next one!

  3. @ Joshua: Thanks! But I need to get better before I paint something bigger like Optimus, going to practice on the deluxe class for now.

@ Leon: In the 3rd pic, the right leg has a little scuff when I accidentally scratched it during assembly. And I am not happy with the paint flow on the right leg, you can see it in the picture, it's not as smooth as I wanted it. That's the problem with brushing since this one is done entirely by brushing. Next one I will airbrush the larger parts.

  5. Soundwave looks very good to me despite the parts you pointed out. The blues and other colors stand out more now. Great work for your first time! :D

Btw, can he still be transformed without affecting the new paint job?

  6. Bro it is not really important. Soundwave need to look rather season and not just came out of the workshop if you know what I mean. ;) If you can do deluxe with this good standard, Leader class wont really place a problem. But use air brush if you can. I don't have a air brush and never had any experience with it. LOL

  7. @desmond: Thanks! I actually want to do another Soundwave somewhere down the road when I improve on my techniques, I just love the mold!

@Juliana: Thanks for the feedback! I actually haven't tried transforming him yet because I spent about an hour carefully putting him together. The torso with all the interconnected pieces made me take apart it many times because I forgot to put some section in it. I am going to do some finishing touches on him tomorrow and I'll let it set for a week before I transform him. Will post pics when I do!

@Leon: But Soundwave didn't do anything in the movie! The only damage he might get is getting hit by a few space rocks lol!

I actually just mess around with an airbrush for my first time today. I am going to test it out on another transformer before Skids. Will post pics when it's done.
