Shinigami
Shinigami = Death god
This is Ryuk from the anime series Death Note. I am not a huge anime fan, but this is one series that I just loved. Shinigami in Death Note are basically beings that resemble the "Death" entity. They each carry a "Death Note" where they can write down the names of human beings to kill them, and in turn extend their own lifes. Ryuk was bored and decided to "drop" his Death Note in the human world so it came into the possession of a human being, which begins the series.

Testing my new lens
I recently picked up a cheap Nikon AF-D lens, the 28-70 f3.5-4.5.
I just needed a zoom lens to cover this range that's not too expensive since I rarely shoot in this range (other than toy photography). But it's nice to have when I need it. Anyways, I was testing out the sharpness of this lens today and found it performs surprisingly well.
On the wide end and wide open (28mm f3.5), the images are a bit soft. Too soft for my liking, but stop it down to 5.6 and above and it's sharp all the way. Almost all consumer lenses are soft when wide open so it's not a surprise to this lens as well. Although I found that at 70mm and wide open (f4.5), the image is sharp enough that it is usable.
This lens is also a semi macro lens throughout the whole range, so it looks like I will be using this a lot for my toy photography.
Shot wide open at 70mm, f4.5.

Mummies Alive!
I got these guys from Ebay a while back. They were from a TV show called Mummies Alive! in 1997. I remember I only had Rath (the green snake one) back then and my friend had Ja-Kal (the blue hawk one). There's also a female member from this team, but her figure is probably very rare since I have never seen one yet.
It sure feels great to get some of my old favourites back though!
Armon/Ja-Kal/Rath
The armor pieces are all snap-on. Here is a picture of them without their armor.

Cafe
Opened up the "Wagnaria" Nendoroid Playset I recently got from Amiami. Got this because I thought it would be nice for some funny pictures with my figures. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but it still sorta works!

Figuarts Trunks
Got this figure in the mail today and I must say, he is AWESOME!
Trunks comes with a bunch of different hands and faces which increases the playability by a bunch. Compared to the previous Vegeta release, this is a much better deal. I haven't had the time to mess with all the accessories, but come this weekend I will grab some more pictures of this beautiful figure! I can't wait to see which character they have in store for us next!
